MyAccessID and EFP
The MyAccessID service is provided by GEANT with the purpose of offering accounts to end users wanting access to Infrastructure Service Domains (ISDs), such as the EFP.
End users
To access and use the EFP's services, end users must
- obtain a MyAccessID account,
- enrol an authenticator for multifactor authentication,
- verify their identity using their passport, and
- register with the EFP.
End user documentation is available at
MyAccessID uses an end user's eduGAIN identity to create their account. If the end user does not have an eduGAIN identity (for example, an end user affiliated with a non-academic organisation) they can register for an account with the Guest IDP.
Hosting entities
Some hosting entities' own user (staff, etc) will require access to EFP services. Therefore, where possible hosting entities should connect their Identity Provider to eduGAIN using their local national federation. For more information, consult
Alternatively, hosting entities may also connect their Identity Provider directly to MyAccessID. For more information, consult
